About The Job
Reporting to Consumer Health Care (CHC) Africa People & Culture Head, CHC People & Culture lead for North West Africa (Tunisia, Morocco, Libya, Algeria and West Central Africa) is a pivotal and hands-on role that provides strategic & operational Human Resources support to designated functions across commercial, business partnering or industrial affairs functions.
CHC People & Culture Lead is responsible for:
- Acting as a PEOPLE & CULTURE strategic partner for country business leadership team
- Driving a strong PEOPLE & CULTURE agenda to support the delivery of country business objectives
- Implementing policies and processes in line with Sanofi & CHC PEOPLE & CULTURE strategy
- Help driving a solid CHC consumer centric culture
- Act as a change agent, open on the external world to evolve PEOPLE & CULTURE practices
Please note that
- 4 Global Center of Excellence (CoEs) will be created within CHC PEOPLE & CULTURE organization to drive PEOPLE & CULTURE transversal outcomes and provide support to Global/Regional/Local PEOPLE & CULTURE leads : People attraction & Planning, People Recognition, People Growth & People Service & Experience
- some PEOPLE & CULTURE activities and services will still be run as per Sanofi policies, approaches and in collaboration with Sanofi Group resources
- Workday will remain the PEOPLE & CULTURE tool for running all CHC PEOPLE & CULTURE administration activities
KEY RESULTS/ACCOUNTABILITIES
PEOPLE & CULTURE strategy
• Build the country PEOPLE & CULTURE roadmap actions to support the perimeter business objectives / functions objectives in the new autonomous CHC set up
• Develop a strong collaborative relationship with perimeter leadership team / functional leadership team
• Deploy CHC PEOPLE & CULTURE global initiatives within the country in strong collaboration with CHC global CoEs
• Partner with line managers across key PEOPLE & CULTURE outcomes: recruitment, development & training, Recognition, Performance assessment, change management, culture & employee engagement, Diversity & Inclusion and individual employee matters.
People Attraction & Planning
• Partner with Sanofi Group Talent Acquisition teams to coordinate all recruitment / mobility processes and attract the right talents into the organization
• Partner with CHC local finance controller for close HC planning & monitoring
• Partner with Sanofi Reward & Performance CoE to implement international mobilities
People Recognition
• Partner with regional CHC People Recognition Leads (and Sanofi Group Reward & Performance teams when needed) to run compensation cycle and for gradings & pricings purposes in line with the validated governance
People growth
• Counsel managers on most efficient organization design, structure and allocation of resources to deliver business challenges
• Manage organizational changes
• Drive local talent management process, enabling leaders
o to build a strong Talent Pipeline to support and enhance business goals
o to grow talents through relevant development programs
o to foster mobilities across Sanofi functions & BUs, from & towards CHC
• Drive local learning agenda for the perimeter /function, leveraging Sanofi Group leadership programs, ilearn resources as well as the CHC capability building resources built by function excellence teams
People services & experience (PEOPLE & CULTURE administration)
• Partner with Sanofi Business Services Employee Experience for day-to-day administrative procedures & Workday business processes.
• Deliver day-to-day operational PEOPLE & CULTURE Excellence to the business
• Advice and counsel all levels of management on employee relations to manage and resolve employee issues reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Acts as the single point of contact at national level to drive transversal topics & coordinate common processes at national level, across Commercial Operations, Business partnering & Industrial Affairs functions

• Member of the CHC Africa PEOPLE & CULTURE team

• External stakeholders (mercer, graduate institutions, start-ups, Africa Leadership University)
About You:
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS & CULTURAL TRAITS
PEOPLE & CULTURE experience or background is strongly required.
Business and results oriented
Demonstrate advisory capabilities, with ability to build relationships & influence. Experience in interacting to interact with Senior Leaders.
Ability to drive change and CHC culture to fully meet consumer healthcare needs
Ability to understand and advise on PEOPLE & CULTURE processes, functional areas, policies, local PEOPLE & CULTURE practices, procedures and compliance efforts.
Cooperate Transversally - Collaborate effectively with peers, stakeholders and partners across the business and Sanofi & CHC PEOPLE & CULTURE matrix organization to positively impact business results.
Ability to work in English due to interactions with foreign managers and employees.
In-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day employees management.
