Job Purpose
Performs a variety of assignments through the application of basic engineering theories, techniques, and practices. Supports and Gives training in the utilization of relevant regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry-standard practices for the control, development, and application of deliverables while gaining exposure to procedures and processes. Supports the department activities on project execution. Is able to ensure the role of Civil Lead Engineer on a project for the CSA team. Support and execution of engineering projects, team's management and supervision and improvement of procedures. Ensures the backup of the Department Head in terms of project reporting and of resource status.
Main Scope/Responsibilities
Business Development Support:
Assists business development activities by maintaining an up to date personal profile and resume database.
Assists business development activities by supporting Man Hours Estimating activities.
Builds positive working relationships with external parties such as the customer, suppliers, and contractors.
Business Operations:
Ensures the project work is covered for vacation and unplanned absences & be responsible for a smooth handover.
Encourages knowledge of and compliance with requirements and JESA internal processes.
Works to resolve inter-discipline, vendor, and customer issues under supervision.
Ensures discipline technical work and team activities meet all health, safety, environmental, and security requirements.
Drives the conception of training material and deliver training to the team.
Checks and supervise work done by Civil Engineer.
Technical Competency:
Supports adherence to generally accepted engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
Supports the standardization of discipline specifications, drawings, and document templates (reports, calculation notes...).
Contributes to the understanding of technical knowledge, legal requirements, and customer specifications whenever viable and lawful.
Adherence to work instruction, checklist, standard specifications, design basis during the execution of projects.
Uses local/global standards (Eurocodes-BAEL-RPS2011-CM66-ASTM-ACI-etc...) to support technical excellence.
Develops an awareness of current tools for analysis, visualization, and design, particularly computer-based tools and packages, and competence in the use of a selection.
Ensures the processes for checking, peer reviews, and incorporation of comments and findings.
Ensures the engineering project estimation
Participates in interviews for recruitment.
Project Execution:
Works, supervises, and checks the work done by the Civil team, knows the discipline scope/cost/time requirements, assists the team to meet expectations, and coordinates with other disciplines to ensure project success.
Can ensure the CSA lead for executing a project or a program and be the responsible for CSA deliverables
Checks deliverables and ensures the quality of drawing according to procedures.
As a Civil Lead Engineer, Supports the management of project change and progress for the discipline and works with the Project Management Team to take corrective actions regarding any issues, staffing requirements, scope changes, progressing, or other events that could affect project completion and/or profitability.
Participates in squad checking, recommends improvements and acts where required.
Implement innovative solutions, technology advances, and methods to effectively deal with working out of sequence.
Manages relationships with different stakeholders on internal (management team, other disciplines) and external projects (contractors, architect.)

Project Deliverables :
Prepares calculation notes to communicate design intent to the designers and maintain an ongoing dialogue aimed at the accurate completion of the design deliverables.
Prepares the VDR analysis of sub-contractors (calculation drawings,...).
Prepares CSA specifications and requisitions.
Ensures the discipline quality Audit
Prepares CSA RFI and RFC.
Prepares CSA progress documents and change notification.
Prepares CSA reporting documents.
Prepares the general discipline documents (deliverable verification plan, deliverable list, manhour...)

Procurement Support:
Drives or support ITB establishment (Invitation to Bid): Specifications, requisitions, the definition of price, BOQ...
Drives, supports, or participates in bid clarifications, prepares bid evaluations, completes inter-discipline vendor information review and approval, and finalizes other certification activities.
Site Support:
Resolves site issues from office and site.
May create sketches or documents that support construction and provide necessary on-site support if needed.
Education
Awarded a 5 year technical degree in science or engineering. Will be actively licensed with a local engineering governing body where required by law.
Curricula: Sciences: Civil background (Concrete Structure and/or Steel Structure and/or building & Infrastructure)

Should know the basic of Civil Design mainly in industrial projects (preference in engineering offices)
