Job Purpose
Provides technical guidance and performs a variety of assignments through the application of Process engineering theories, techniques, and practices. Use of relevant regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry-standard practices for the Checking, development, and application of deliverables. Advanced level position able to complete assigned tasks with a high level of independence and expertise in a specific area. Lead projects for industrial programs, large & complex size. Partner with HOD in the execution of Department strategies (team management, building capabilities, development & implementation of development plan, provide training, capitalization of lessons learned, performance reviews, interviews, performance management, workload & staffing plan management). Provides advanced expertise as Subject Matter Expert in some area of specialty.
Main Scope/Responsibilities
Business Development Support:
Assists business development activities by maintaining an up-to-date personal profile resume database and provide inputs for new project proposals (hours estimate, scope definition, assumptions/exclusions). Builds positive working relationships with external parties such as the customer, suppliers, and contractors.
Business Operations:
Ensures the project work is covered for vacation and unplanned absences.
Supports the execution of the training plan
Ensures the work is done in compliance with technical requirements and JESA internal processes.
Ensures discipline technical work meet all health, safety, environmental, and security requirements.
Use of sizing, calculation, and Engineering software's
Sharply assess and develop work methods to improve project outcomes
Drives and implements improvement plan, Work Instructions & procedures.
Develops optimized engineering and innovative solutions: (fit for purpose design, technology, materials+C18)
Acts as back up or arrange back up for leads during absences, and for HOD when requested
Identifies and encourage Excellence
Ensures the development of the technical knowledge of the engineers and designers team
Technical Competency:
Performs autonomously, daily activities of process and design including sizing (equipment tanks pumps vent reactors, line sizing.), calculations (control valves, hydraulics, PSV, Hydra, ..), and technology design for Process packages, requiring knowledge and application of basic & advanced Process principles.
Full mastery of general process design
The position might be related to a technology knowledge: fully mastery of technical knowledge for special area
Project Execution:
Provides information and support on Process engineering tasks assigned by Process Lead to aid the project team in the preparation of the proposals, track project progress.
Provides elements and inputs required by the Process lead
Participates in workshops involving multi-engineering disciplines, vendors, and customers such as interactive planning sessions, P&ID Review, 3D Model Review.
Reviews and checks engineering deliverables.
Conducts technical audits for projects & programs assigned as Process lead: Manage within Process team interfaces, prepare/update/maintain discipline budgets
Manage implementing quality activities, and schedule monitoring

Project Deliverables:
Once data is collected from the site or client the chief engineer can validate before integrating them into the design.
Check the documents after editing and verify the compliance with work instructions, checklists, standard specifications, and project design basis.
Procurement Support:
Conduct technical bid evaluation of Process packages/sections in the bidders' offers.
Provide recommendation to purchase based on project and disciplines technical criteria's
Site Support:
Supports field assignments and field walk-downs as required as well as assists field forces in resolving issues & requests related to Process construction documents and vendors data
performs debottlenecking studies
performs audit studies
Education
Awarded as minimum 5 years technical degree in engineering recognized by the state
