The EHS Engineer will foster a culture of proactivity, accountability, engagement and sustainability through robust programs and processes with the primary goal of reducing work accident and environmental impact. He will plan, implement, and coordinate safety programs, requiring application of engineering principles and technology, to prevent or correct unsafe environmental working conditions.
Missions :
Implement a Safety Management system based on ISO 45001 standard.
Maintain and enhance the ISO 14001 management system, and upgrade it to 2015 version.
Ensure compliance with Moroccan legislation.
Maintain implementation of Lear directives in site: Loss control, Lockout tag out and forklift.
Plan, implement, and coordinate safety programs to prevent or correct hazardous environmental working conditions.
Carry out audits of the EH&S Management System in plant (special needs or planned) to comply with the procedures relating to Health, Safety and Environment of LEAR and Moroccan legal regulations.
Perform the task-based risk assessment and develop actions how to mitigate them, and determining the related environmental impacts.
Recommend process and product safety features that will reduce employees' exposure to chemical, physical, and ergonomic work hazards.
Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulatory compliance.
Investigate work accidents, injuries, occupational diseases and environmental incident to determine root causes and corrective/preventive measures.
Provide technical advice and guidance to organizations on how to handle health-related problems and make needed changes, and review plans and specifications for construction of new machinery or equipment to determine whether all safety requirements have been met.
Conduct or coordinate employees training in areas such as safety laws, work instructions, hazardous conditions monitoring, and use of PPE.
Evaluate adequacy of actions taken to correct health inspection violations, and the effectiveness of various engineering control mechanisms.
Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data related to occupational illnesses and accidents.
Initiate and follow up with other departments the site sustainability program.
Skills and experience::
Engineer (Bac+5) or equivalent
04 years minimum experience in an industry field
Background in EHS, Mechanical, Electricity, Microsoft office.
Capacity to support stressed situation, work in team, and work in shopfloor
Good communicator and listener
Language Skills:
French and English: Fluent.
Spanish is an advantage
