The Finance Business Partner (FBP) Vaccines is a key member of the finance team. He/ she is responsible for the full P&L of the GBU. He/ she monitors the overall financial operational performance of his/her perimeter, he / she contributes to strategic/business development by providing accurate data and advices supporting the decision making process.
He/ She works in close collaboration with
the 2 BU heads (MCO & SSA),
the 2 Operations heads (MCO & SSA)
other budget owners which costs are impacting Vaccines P&L
the Zone & Other Africa team to provide financial input.He/ She contributes to operational excellence (execution) and strategic rethink in close collaboration with GBU Heads, Business Operations Heads and KAM when relevant to best address risks & opportunities on the short / mid and long term. He / She forms with the Vaccines MCO and SSA Heads of Operations a critical pillar for the sustainability and continuity of Vaccines operations for North Africa and Sub Saharan Africa clusters.
Main Challenges
Strong contribution to the Operations of the MCO and SSA clusters
SSA carrying significant strategic importance for Shan6 implementation endorsing the focus on public market
Manage different business models & several legal entities & 2 BU heads in 2 clusters
Strong collaboration with Sanofi Pasteur HQ in Lyon and in the Zone in South Africa
Position exposed to private & public external stakeholders such as agents, procurement bodies of MOHs and customers
Strong partnership with E.P.DIS ensuring solid business continuity within the context of NBM in SSA
Cooperate on transversal projects and support commercial activities

Key responsibilities:
1. Monthly Reporting:
Coordinate the monthly reporting with the support of the FP&A team
Lead the monthly IBP process and relevant reporting
Perform full analysis of the P&L on a monthly basis
Issue monthly Sales and P&L comments/analysis for the Africa Zone (including Gross Margin & OPEX)
Lead the consolidation of the risks & opps of the Vaccines Business in close collaboration with GBU Heads and Heads of Business Operations.
Challenge the business in their assumptions (TM, provision, reporting, budget, forecast assumptions)
Consolidate the monthly sales landing and quarterly landing to the Zone
Coordinate the preparation of Quarterly Performance reviews with Africa Zone
Review SIT and DSO information provided by TRM team & CI2C team
Review cash conversion cycle for Vaccines in close collaboration with Treasury & explain variances vs target & year end landing.
Ensure accuracy of P&L line and analytical nature used for the reporting
Provide accurate GTN % is feeding daily sales and get familiar with Plai
Ensure strong collaboration with FP&A teams to utilize FP&A team’s system expertise of Boost and support them to have clean input on the systems
2. Business partnering for Vaccines
Provide MCO and SSA Vaccines teams with monthly dashboards, KPIs, P&L, HC and qualitative comments
Perform, share and discuss on a monthly basis, analysis on the BU Vaccines with relevant stakeholders: sales, GtN, Gross Margin, expenses, cost allocation, cost centres, SISO, DSO, prices, var vs previous year, budget or forecast, R&O monitoring.
Work in close collaboration with Vaccines GM & Head of Business Operations (MCO & SSA), , Employee Experience team (Personal costs and HC analysis), Trade & Revenue Mgt teams (SISO, SIT analysis, Gross to Net analysis) at local and Vaccines HQ level, and all the rest of the finance team as appropriate in line with the various Governance developed at Country, MCO, Zone & HQ level.
Ensure a common understanding of the Vaccines P&L across different functions.
Ensure proper alignment between the strategy of the BU head and the Actuals, review in detail P&L to identify any inconsistency, misallocation, missing provision
Work in close collaboration with Public KAM in Morocco and BU heads to handle key customers such as Institut Pasteur of Morocco, PCT, E.P.DIS when it comes to execution, receivables, collections, payment scheme, overdues and DSO management
Contribute to Strategic discussion / decision in collaboration with Vaccines GM and rest of commercial team.
Work in close collaboration with the FP&A team, the Finance operations teams and the SBS teams to ensure accuracy of the books and respect of the deadlines
Provide necessary guidance to Franchise Leads on the monitoring of their A&P to ensure monthly & yearly landing with no/minimum deviation vs. plan
Participate actively in the preparation of the annual commercial policy
Provide financial support in building commercial, tender offers ffers and take an active role in TMB preparations
Analyze country, market & product performance, price and volumes analysis
3. Budget & forecast process for Vaccines
Coordinate with the Vaccines GMs and Vaccines North Africa/ Sub Saharan Africa Management teams of Vaccines BU the budget & forecast cycle of the 2 clusters
Collect, challenge & validate assumptions in close collaboration with Head of Business Operations
Ensue full alignment between IBP process and sales reported as part of the budget and forecast, identify and explain main variances if any
Submit the budget and forecast in Sanofi systems or in case it is done by the FP&A team, ensure accuracy reviewing the data packages from the system for budget and forecasts respecting the deadlines communicated by the GBU and COEs
Ensure correct cost allocation (by nature, cost centre and department), product contribution, in line with the BU strategy
Prepare the budget deck in close collaboration with the GMs and the CFO
Prepare the bridges for the deck to explain main variances
Add explanation & comments to the slides to facilitate the understanding of the figures
Ensure consistency of the full deck & figures & comments
Coordinate the consolidation of the Risks & Opps for the budget & forecast cycle
Interact with Vaccines Africa Zone & International Region as required
