Purpose :
The Finance & Demand Analyst role is to maximize the value of the commercial operations of the NWA Affiliates by partnering with multi-disciplinary teams as a trusted advisor, proactively identifying opportunities and risks to consistently deliver on the business objectives by:
Being a strategic partner to the Finance team, built on strong business acumen, financial expertise, and technical support skills.
Integrating within Finance/Demand & Functional teams – understanding the environment and Patient Journeys, ultimately maximizing the P&L;
Supporting in the financial planning cycles (Yearly plan, Long Range Plan, Update, and monthly Latest Best Estimates (LBE)) through cross-functional alignment.
Maintaining appropriate stewardship and controls throughout the affiliates’ operations and performance; ensuring integrity of financial information and documentation.
Being externally engaged with Finance contacts from a variety of stakeholder groups.
Support Demand & Logistic function across the following countries: Algeria, Tunisia & Morocco in collaboration with VLOG customer service centers.
Support the Finance Team in managing AbbVie distributors and in managing NWA overall sales vs. approved benchmarks.
Responsibilities :
Financial Planning, Reporting & Analysis:
Support Finance Team in the financial cycles (Plan, Long Range Plan, Last Best Estimate, Monthly closing).
Support the FBP in the preparation and coordination of the budgeting cycles for NWA and affiliate related to planning cycles as required, including P&L, headcount, and expenses and ensure that financial data loaded on the system is accurate.
Support the FBP in Managing the analysis/interpretation of monthly results and monthly financial submissions to Region and Area (performance analysis, D2.0. and LBE) and ensure accuracy of numbers and commentary.
Monitor Product P&L and support the FBP in identifying opportunities to maximize products and country margins.
Monitor expenses (cost centers) and highlight potential exposures to avoid overspending against benchmarks and strategically work with concerned parties on reallocating funds where required.
Prepare and submit monthly sales accruals.
Support FPB in DSO & AR monitoring
Support the BFP in communication with Area Financial Services (AFS) and Financial Controller to review, prepare and complete timely and accurate month-end closing. Ensure financial results are recorded in compliance with AbbVie financial policies (CFM's), Sarbanes Oxley, US GAAP and local rules and regulations.
Ad-hoc analysis and forecasts as requested.
Supply, Logistics Management & demand statements:
Collaborate with Demand Manager and attend on demand Internal Demand Sales meetings to align with Commercial teams on forecasts, challenge their assumptions, and ultimately review and validate sales forecasts monthly.
Provide needed support :
To Supply review, and Financial Reconciliation meetings.
To Ensure any change in assumptions that will impact sales is captured. Document changes in assumptions.
In participation in tenders and preparing P&L analysis.
To the monthly Finance reconciliation and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process with the local affiliate team, review and consolidate input from Brands, assess and challenge financials from an independent view to ensure financials are sound and well supported.
To the weekly & monthly publishing of the Approved Demand Statement on company approved systems. Perform Cognos reporting of 24 months rolling sales forecast on a weekly basis. Ensure that the calendarization of forecast is aligned with countries’ approved credit limits.
In Following-up on Private and tender shipments and ensure deliveries are aligned with the approved demand statement. Ensure that the shipment documentation is aligned with countries legal requirements.
In obtaining Official order from Distributors and align with VLOG customer service team on order entry completion
In managing all shipment related issues faced and identify solutions to minimize shipments disruptions across countries.
In Managing RCMAs as needed.
Education/Experience Required :
University Degree in Finance/Business/Economics.
3 years + of relevant experience in financial planning/business finance support department.
Experience within a multinational or pharmaceutical company is highly valuable.
Essential Skills & Abilities :
Strong analytical and organizational/prioritization skills, with ability to identify & pursue opportunities across the business.
Ability to adapt to change and recommend process and system improvements
Solid understanding of planning requirements/process.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
Self-motivated with great follow-up skills and ability to work independently & within a team
Systems experience with SAP, CTE /Concur, HFM, TM1 preferred.
The candidate needs to be able to work under pressure, to be commercially minded and to have strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
The successful candidate should have a strong work ethic, problem solving capacities, excellent communication/interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to details.
