Background

Under the overall guidance of the Chief, Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and the direct supervision of the Operations Manager, the ICT Assistant executes ICT services in the Morocco Country Office, implements ICT management systems and strategies, provides daily technical support to users of information management tools and technology infrastructure. The incumbent is responsible for review and advice on the use of new technologies that will enhance the Morocco CO productivity. The ICT Assistant promotes a client-oriented approach.

Duties and Responsibilities

1.Ensure effective technical Support and provide technology & Communication services:
Ensure installation of a standardized image, On-Boarding PC to Azure AD and work with corporate procedures and policies.
Support compliance to IT Policies, mobile environment, and consistent user experience. Ability to contribute to the development organizational procedures and standards.
Implement and use Azure Cloud Services, Azure AD, Printing, MS Enterprise services (Zoom, Teams, Office 365, MS OneDrive for Business & online storage and collaboration).
Plan, install and maintain all communication systems including mobile and satellite phones.
Support Networking, PC, messaging, and Collaboration.
2. Provide IT Service Management and administrative support regarding ICT issues
Support UN Women Standard tools, including software delivered through the Image (aka package for selected Office Productivity tools).
Manage MS Intune and Mobile Device (software managing, monitoring and patching)
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of the software and hardware in cooperation with the Procurement Unit.
Maintain records of assets management and prepare reports.
Implement the inventory and physical verification of the assets.
Supporting User Desktop, manage licensing, patching and software delivery.
Identify the specifications of new ICT equipment in accordance with corporate procedures and policies.
Provide support to shipments, conference facilities, meetings, collaboration, events, and logistics.
Maintain the Morocco CO web site and intranet.
3. Ensure efficient networks and firewalls administration
Monitor the network connection daily to ensure stable and responsive network environment.
Configure network printers and provide user access as required.
Trouble-shoot and monitor network problems and respond to user needs and questions regarding network access.
Maintain up-to-date parameters of information for the network clients and electronic mail.
Implement backup and restoration procedures for local drives, maintain backup logs and organize off-site storage of backups.
Maintain measures for business continuity and disaster recovery processes and procedures including backup and restoration of both server and local storage facilities.
Manage Local Area Network (LAN) in accordance with UN Women requirements.
Operate network utility procedures and define network users and security attributes.
Establish directories, menus, and drive-mappings.
4.Facilitate knowledge building and knowledge sharing:
Identify and promote different systems and applications for optimal content management, knowledge management and sharing, information provision.
Contribute to the organization of trainings for the office staff on ICT issues.
Synthesize lessons learned and best practices in ICT.

Required Skills and Experience

Education and certification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
Training in Computer Engineering and or Business Management is an asset.
Experience:
At least 5 years of working experience in network administration and use of hardware/software, telecommunications facilities
Language Requirements:
Fluency in French and English is required.
knowledge of Arabic is an asset.
