The Part and Industrial Configuration Planning Manager (RPCOI) is in charge, on behalf of the Part Design Manager (RCO) and the Industrial Process Design Manager (RCPI), of ensuring that deadlines and change objectives set up at the material and industrial levels are met. He/She also ensures the exhaustiveness of the preliminary BoM for a specific adaptable powertrain family. In order to do so, the RPCOI is responsible for implementing, maintaining and monitoring these goals.
The manager’s area of responsibility covers every activity related to a powertrain family at the component and industrial levels:
o The projects since JCC (Concept Selection Milestone)
o The 1st launch and secondary launches
o The serial life activities of the launched part
- The Part and Industrial Configuration Planning Manager (RPCOI) has to:
- Organise and manage the activities of the Diversity Coding Manager (RCD),
- Set up the different product structures at the material and industrial levels and submit them for validation,
- Establish the project’s design and validation deliverable schedules, and ensure their feasibility,
- Monitor validation deliverable schedules (including the partners and sub-contractors) at the material and industrial levels), by:
- Monitoring and informing the RCO and the RCPI about the PIV/DIV deliverable progress
Anticipate deviations
Establish, with the RCx, a carry-over plan for the validation deliverables
Ensure the establishment and implementation of corrective action plans.
- Manage the PEPP (Product & Manufacturing Evolution Process), by:
Listing topics for the upcoming meeting
Animating the meeting for the RCO
Reporting about every milestone progress
- Identify, manage and defer the risks related to his/her perimeter
- Report about his/her perimeter of activity to the project and the PCOP
