Junior Database Administrator

Responsible to monitor, maintain and support entire portfolio of databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL & MySQL Databases) . Insure all database reliability, stability and data integrity of the databases and to implement new technical solutions as required by the technical and business strategiesMonitor performance of database systems resources and query throughput
Monitor and maintain database storage resources
Main Tasks:
Monitor and maintain database maintenance plans for backups, index rebuild/defragment, and database statistics
Oracle & PostgreSQL Database Server Installation, Upgrades, Migrations and Configuration
Implement Database changes and apply new patches and upgrades, when required
Maintain database documentation as required
Maintain and administer database security access
Optimize SQL Code as necessary
Perform database backups and restores using Oracle & PostgreSQL tools
Trouble shoot and resolve database connectivity issues
Follow Change Management processes to implement database configuration changes
Follow Problem Management processes to troubleshoot and resolve recurring issues
Proactively monitor and respond to Oracle & PostgreSQL database Alerts.
On-call requirements to ensure 24 x 7 support of database operations
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Master/Bachelor’s in computer science or relevant degree required; -DBA certification is a plus.
Experience: 2+ years in a similar Database administration role.
Physically fit to carry out duties
Legally permitted to work in the country of operations
