Job Description

Purpose & Accountability:

Typically provides scientific, technical, specialist/subject matter or product expertise
Independent action to deliver short term goals

Business Impact

Responsible for fundamental changes of processes to eliminate inefficiencies and improve effectiveness and quality
Ensures optimal resource and cost allocation within team (without budget responsibility)
Generally requires broad understanding of the activities across Syngenta

Responsibilities And Requirements

May manage projects or supervise individuals
Requires knowledge and understanding within own discipline/work area (often entails mastery of scientific theories) and relevant legislation
Requires formal qualification/vocational training and experience in own area of expertise
Often develops or improves known methods, products, procedures and systems
Often analyses, solves and communicates problems through selection of appropriate existing solution
Sometimes evaluates new ideas and possibilities
Builds relationships with key contacts within own network, internally and occasionally externally

Qualifications

Critical knowledge

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture
Deep knowledge of agri-business market.
Technical & product knowledge

Critical Experience

Commercial experience 3 – 5 year
Understanding of competitive environment
Ability to understand customers' needs, challenges and opportunities and to bring solutions that address them better than competitors
In depth Technical knowledge of crop protection products both from Syngenta & competition
Ability to prioritize and focus her/his job on must wins
Computer skills (Microsoft Office user, CRM)
Excellent Communication and presentation

Delivers distinctive value proposition to key accounts
Understands customer needs
Has deep and broad crop and product knowledge
Selling and negotiation skills are well developed
