Job Purpose
A Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the implementation of daily/tactical maintenance activities aimed at maximizing equipment availability and reducing maintenance costs throughout the facility.
Main Scope/Responsibilities
Develop & Implement reliability-based standards and policies.
Providing assistance with managing significant reactive work when requested.
Leveraging an understanding of CMMS, predictive and preventive maintenance and materials management process
Possessing department-specific understanding of process and equipment.
Contributing to the 5-year capital plan process
Investigate mechanical and/or electrical equipment failures and develop potential solutions based on sound mechanical/electrical practices
Support Reliability Engineering with preventative/proactive maintenance initiatives
Assist production and/or project engineering with inefficiencies/process improvement opportunities for area of responsibility
Support Reliability Engineering with preventative/proactive maintenance initiatives
Attend RD/DD area core team meeting as necessary
Participate in post RD/DD critiques as necessary
Participate in the management of the execution phase R/D and TAR
Identify material and equipment upgrade opportunities and operational process changes to reduce failures/ enhance reliability and improve asset health
Assist supervision & craftsman as needed to ensure applicable procedures are followed
Additional duties as assigned
Education
Bac +5 (Ingénieur d’état or equivalent)
Curricula: Construction or engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent)
Global Experience
4 to 6 years with 04 years of maintenance experience in relevant industry.
Specific Experience in the position
At least 4 years of maintenance experience in relevant industry.
