MATERIALS SPECIALIST I
DUNCAN, SC
As a member of the Materials team, the Materials Specialist I will be an integral aspect of the Materials Department and directly interface with the entire materials department, production department, quality department, maintenance department and the engineering departments. The Materials Specialist I will report to the Materials Manager.
The Role:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
Reviews releases both Weekly forecast and daily requirements
Ensures no plant or customer interruptions due to lack of material.
Receives in BOL after comparing ASN to scan file.
Maintains cycle count log and follows the procedure for all adjustments.
Works with Penske and carriers to ensure on time deliveries.
Work with engineering changes both coordinated and running. Reducing all risk of obsolescence.
Work with engineering with new product launches.
Works with suppliers on daily both through email and phone.
Keeps PFEP updated with current information.
Works with Penske to update any changes in routing, shipping schedules and launches.
Work with both CKD and Service.
Must work well under pressure.
Responsible for housekeeping of area.
Participate in continuous improvement activities.
Actively participate in self-directed work team model.
Participate in plant recycling programs.
Follow ISO14001 and TS16949 procedures/processes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications:
Associate degree (AA/AS.); two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
