Our Team:
The Vaccines Medical Team provide a crucial support service in ensuring public health activities on the continent through the prevention of infectious diseases by means of vaccination.
Main responsibilities:
To provide medical and scientific support which will assist the company in developing its vaccine activities for the Morocco/Tunisia/Libya MCO and selected French-speaking Sub-Saharan African Countries. This support includes but is not limited to:
Lead in-country medical activities by collaborating with the in-country Sanofi Vaccines teams on all activities as required eg safety reporting, training, promotional material review and development, article creation, medical queries etc.
Assume senior manager role in Country Vaccines Management Team(s)
Manage the French Speaking Africa Medical team namely Medical Advisor: French Speaking Africa
Manage activities related to Medical Operational Expenditure Budget. Prepare and present budget exercises aligned with the Sanofi financial calendar.
Manage local data generation and clinical trial oversight
Communicating with the Franchise medical teams when required to discuss local medical query, promotional, presentation and information requirements for products in line with Sanofi Glocal ways of working
Working with the promotional teams (Marketing and Sales) to ensure the medical accuracy of promotional materials, training, product query information and other activities, as required
About you
Experience: Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and experience in the local healthcare system is preferable
Soft skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, commitment to team work, ability to manage a team, ability to build relationships across departments and functions, locally and globally. Demonstrate drive, taking personal responsibility to always achieve individual and company goals
Technical skills: Relevant background in immunology/vaccinology/infectious diseases. Computer skills (MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Understanding of basic finance concepts. Understanding of local medical and scientific legislation/policies that pertain to the role and the industry
Education: Medical degree or Masters in Pharmacy. Post-university degree/s would also be advantageous
Languages: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including presentation skills (fluency in French and English is a requirement)
