The Hunting Credentials Analyst plays a crucial role in the Cyber Defense team, focusing on identifying and mitigating risks associated with compromised credentials and potential password leaks.
Key responsibilities include:
Proactively hunting for compromised credentials across various platforms and systems.
Investigating and analyzing potential password leaks and data breaches.
Collaborating with other cybersecurity teams to implement strategies for password security enhancement.
Providing recommendations for improving password management practices and policies.
Contributing to incident response efforts related to compromised credentials and password leaks.
Staying updated on emerging threats and industry best practices related to password security.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical & functional skills:
Minimum 1-3 years of experience in cybersecurity or related field.
Proficiency in conducting password hunting activities and analyzing compromised credentials.
Strong understanding of password management principles and best practices.
Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards.
Experience with password cracking tools and techniques.
Ability to analyze and interpret large datasets related to compromised credentials.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Programming and Scripting: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages to automate security tasks, conduct data analysis, and develop custom tools and scripts for password hunting and analysis.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
