Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Work as part of the development team on multiple eCommerce and multi-channel applications and integrations with third party providers.
Creating and maintaining new functionality on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware) platform that operates a reference application model. Delivering scalable, reusable code that benefits all our brands.
Follow coding standards and best practice within the development cycle and code review processes.
Optimise page load performance by optimising HTML, CSS, JavaScript images and content delivery ideally in an enterprise eCommerce platform environment
Work closely with world famous luxury brands ecommerce teams, marketing agencies and design agencies
Complete development work required on each brand’s websites in line with the trading calendar and development roadmap / release plan.
Ad hoc project work for major web developments for our brands.
Learn, build, and maintain knowledge of contemporary & emerging e-commerce, web/mobile technologies, third party integrations and best practices.
Train and mentor new junior developers
Perform code review and follow development best practices
Self-starter and proactive to respond to emergency situations
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Must Haves:
Minimum 6 years of development experience of which 4 years dedicated on SFCC platform
Hands on experience of HTML (5)/CSS (3)/SASS/LESS/JavaScript/jQuery is mandatory
Should have onboarded (migrated sites in to SFCC) minimum 4 different projects
Exposure to Responsive Design, SEO, W3C and Accessibility Standards across desktop, tablet and mobile is mandatory
Hands on experience developing templates and content slots using ISML, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML, CSS, AJAX and integrate with SFCC Pipelines/Controllers
Experience optimizing page load performance by optimising HTML, CSS, JavaScript images and content delivery, ideally in an enterprise eCommerce platform environment.
Hands on working knowledge of SFCC Page Designer, Content Assets and Content Slots
Experience in working with PWA or React native based headless framework
Working knowledge of SFCC BM features like Catalogue, Products, Campaigns, Promotions, Customers Groups, Page Designer, Content Assets and Content Slots.
Working knowledge of Salesforce Commerce Cloud cartridges and plugins
Experience working with Pipelines, JS Controllers, Demandware Scripts and ISML Templates.
Experience performing code review and providing technical recommendations.
Experience using version control tools (Git or Bitbucket) & JIRA
Should Haves:
Good to have prior experience developing user interfaces using Frontend technologies like HTML, SASS, CSS3, BOOTSTRAP4, JQUERY
Experienced with PSD-to-CSS execution
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is desired not mandatory
Highly organised with the capability to multi-task and prioritise to meet tight deadlines.
