Job Purpose
The Senior Piping Engineer is responsible for developing, reviewing drawings, providing calculations, and engineering analysis that support design requirements. Oversees or provides input on piping specifications, procurement deliverables, field piping engineering and construction for small and medium EPC & EPCM project and through all project phases. Communicates effectively and successfully manage deadlines and costs.
Main Scope/Responsibilities
Business Development Support:
Assists business development activities by maintaining an up to date personal profile and resume database. Builds positive working relationships with external parties such as the customer, suppliers, and contractors.
Technical Competency:
Ensures team member adherence to generally accepted piping engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. Supports the standardization of piping specifications, installation drawings, and document templates.
Contributes to the understanding of technical knowledge, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
Uses local and global standards (Such as ASME, API, PIP...) to support technical excellence. Supports checking, peer reviews, and incorporate comments and findings.
Project Execution:
Participates in the execution strategy and planning for small and medium EPC & EPCM projects. Knows the project and discipline scope/cost/time requirements during all project phases, assists the piping team to meet expectations, and coordinates with other disciplines to ensure project success.
Implement innovative solutions, technological advances, and methods to effectively manage out-of-sequence work. Supports Project Management Team to take corrective actions regarding any issues, staffing requirements, scope changes, progress, or other events that could affect project completion and/or profitability.

Project Deliverables:
Prepares and reviews piping engineering deliverables for medium EPC & EPCM such as piping material specifications, Valve data sheets, piping general specification and stress calculations. Review and interface with suppliers and contractor data to assure specifications and project requirements are met.
Can detect technical issues, defines alternate solutions, establishes pros & cons for multiple solutions, and makes recommendations through official project documents such as technical queries, technical deviations, etc.
Creates final documentation incorporating all relevant information and pursues customer approval. Reviews/authorizes work done by direct reports.
Procurement Support:
Prepares piping RFQ (Requisition for Quotation) packages. Prepares piping RFP (Requisition for Purchase) packages. Participates in face to face with bidders, conducts bid evaluations, completes inter-discipline vendor information review and approval, and finalizes other certification activities.
Reviews similar documentation to assist others and reviews/authorize work done by direct reports.
Site Support:
Seeks input from knowledgeable sources, participates in constructability, operability & maintainability reviews, and incorporates requirements into engineering/design.
Works with site personnel to resolve issues. Creates plans or documents that support construction, testing, commissioning, operations, maintenance. Provides on-site support for construction, commissioning, or turnover.

Engineer
Curricula: Mechanical and Material Engineering or Similar
Global Experience
4 to 7 years
Specific Experience in the position
Project piping engineering experience, Oil & Gas Engineering, Mining, Chemical and Petrochemical.
