votre rôle
Your role is to become a key member of BWA development team and together with rest of the team help to deliver new versions of the tool which is constantly enriched with new features but also to work closely and have strong interaction with the [A2@Scale] team who is helping the automation of capacity planning tools by better usage of IA and of our network data.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the BWA development team, support /manage the design, development and maintenance of the BWA application including backend infrastructure for secure data storage, data processing/retrieval as well as the frontend Web-based GUI to facilitate analysis by network design teams of necessary network topology/design evolution. Ensure its maintenance, documentation and evolution.
Write test and maintain reusable and high-quality code (scripts, APIs, programs) to retrieve and analyse data using data mining, model building, and other analytical techniques for efficient data processing/consolidation and user-friendly data visualization.
Working with central / regional network design teams, be force of proposal for enhancements to the BWA tool according to the evolution of the network design rules as well as answer new requests from design teams.
Investigate and consolidate new data sources from different network tools and systems, prepare the data, evaluate and guarantee their quality and relevance by applying cleaning / filtering and integrate them into BWA to enrich the tool as needed.
Contribute to the specification and validate the evolution/development of existing or new simulation and topology tools developed by third parties (internal or external) to support complex network topology change or/and enhanced production of capacity planning reports (e.g. failure simulation).
Support GCP/BIA entity in the implementation of other projects related to networks planning activities.

Entity: OINIS/Global Wholesale & Enterprise Network
Orange International Networks Infrastructures & Services (OINIS) is a technical department serving the group’s international ambitions. With more than 1700 collaborators highly qualified around the world, OINIS acts using the “think-build-run” model for designing, building and operating three international networks, serving:
The B2B [Business to Business] market with Orange Business Services (OBS)
The International wholesale of voice and data services with the International Carriers (IC) division
Orange subsidiaries interconnected between themselves and with Orange headquarters
The GWEN [Global Wholesale & Enterprise Network] department is in charge of making the international OBS network transformation a reality, working on this challenge by considering technological breakthroughs, market trends (virtualization, hybrid, CDN, UCC…) and financial optimization targets.
Joining OINIS means joining a great place to work with teams of men and women with a variety of profiles and evolving in an international and multicultural environment. This human capital at OINIS will open evolution perspectives for you, while benefiting from our teams’ experience and sharing yours
Team: GCP / Global Central Planning
Part of OINIS/GWEN, the Global Central Planning (GCP) entity is in charge of driving the design (routing, capacity management), optimization (in terms of infrastructure, costs and quality of service) evolution (new service / platform introduction) and performance analysis of the international Orange Business Services Internet and MPLS network
Mission
Within the Global Central Planning (GCP) entity, the Business Internet & Audit team is responsible for delivering to the network planning teams all the necessary tools to monitor the networks, perform capacity planning and ensure that our networks are constantly optimized to deliver the best quality at the lowest costs.
This team works in close cooperation with the GWEN Automation community to enhance existing tools and processes. This collaboration enabled the emergence of a new tool called “BWA” (for Bandwidth Availability) which consolidates data from multiple sources and compute projected bandwidth availability on the network using a user-friendly graphical interface. This tool is developed using Python (ETL), PHP (backend) and JavaScript (frontend) programming languages.
