Job Purpose
Determines methods and solutions for complex engineering problems and selects the most efficient and economical manner for meeting objectives. Applies advanced engineering techniques and analysis. Is fully conversant in the profession and proficient in the utilization of current engineering theories and practices. May serve as a technical consultant in an area of specialty. May provide discipline supervision for one larger or one or more smaller projects.
Main Scope/Responsibilities
Conducting Prefeasibility, Feasibility and Development Studies for Power Generation Projects (Solar, ...etc);
Assessing the meteorological conditions for Solar Projects;
Mastering PV syst and similar softwares
Conducting technical and financial studies related to Power Generation, Evacuation, Transmission, Transformation and Distribution Facilities;
Drafting and negotiating Power projects IPPs, EPC and O&M Contract for PV Projects
Monitoring interaction with Projects' stakeholders and providing;
Assisting in the drafting and negotiation of Grid Connection Agreements with utilities;
During Construction and Operation stages, supervising and challenging the engineering, construction and commissioning works of the EPC Contractor and the operation and maintenance works of the O&M Contractor;
Conducting studies and supervising the installation, that are related to the provision of solar, wind, hybrid, storage solutions;
Assigning, scheduling, reviewing, and monitoring project work to ensure that progress is within expected guidelines and is completed on time and within budget.
Mentoring and providing expertise to other project team members.
Identifying, tracking, monitoring and communicating project-related issues, scope changes, variances and contingencies that may arise during the implementation of projects;
Producing internal reports and participating in regular business reviews.
Education
Holder of master’s degree in engineering, with specialization in Utility-Scale Electric Engineering
Specific Experience in the position
5 to 10 years of relevant work experience.
Knowledgeable about project management and project management techniques
Familiar with Power Generation, Evacuation, Transmission, Transformation and Distribution Facilities
IT proficient and in particular, project management as well as electric engineering, electric grid and renewable power plants modeling software;
