Tasks and responsibilities :
Identification of appropriate, competitive suppliers (including search for new suppliers), in collaboration with the team and reporting to the Commodity Manager
Creation of quotation packages for the awarding scope, follow-up the RFQ process, track supplier deliverables
Cost structure analysis, control of quotes in relation to total cost
Conduct Supplier Negotiations after the RFQ process
Preparation of bidding overviews / sourcing recommendations
Conduct analyses to assess savings potential and other improvement opportunities
Maintain relevant data and documentation (contracts, SAP purchase orders, …)
Effectively communicate and coordinate activities to maintain on-time delivery performance, managing supplier lead-times and quality
Problem-solving with suppliers and internal functions
Represent Procurement in Core Team meetings
Understand the customer requirements and deploy the actions for the requirements within the organization and with the suppliers
Support other co-departments to achieve TE targets of TTM, savings, quality, delivery and localization
Contribute to implement TE Procurement strategy
Responsible for carrying out duties in accordance with the current quality and environmental policies of the company as well as the duties defined in employee’s scope of responsibilities
What your background should look like :
Business or Technical University degree or equivalent experience
Previous experience in Procurement is preferred
Work experience in a technical or commercial background is a plus
Advanced knowledge in the use of MS Office applications, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and respond with a sense of urgency
Strong analytical skills
Solution-oriented problem solving
Ability to work well with an international team
Strong communication and intercultural skills, ability to understand and work with other countries and cultures
Excellent communication skills in English
Communication skills in German is a plus
Negotiation skills
SAP knowledge is a plus
