Summary of role
The Supply Continuity Manager will monitor and audit Lear's suppliers' supply chain strategy. The goal is to improve productivity, efficiency, flexibility, and reducing costs while securing material and mitigating supply constraints.
Key Tasks
Manage suppliers to resolve escalated critical supply constraints and ensure continuity of supply into Lear's manufacturing facilities
Work with external suppliers and Lear internal cross functional teams (manufacturing, quality, engineering, purchasing) as the leader in complex escalations to drive short and long-term corrective actions
Manage assigned suppliers to proactively evaluate risk to supply based on operations plan, tier III/sub-supplier material stocking plans, and capacity
Document suppliers’ long-term plans and strategy to drive continuous improvement through regular audits of these plans
Maintain strong supplier relationships with both sales and operational teams within the suppliers’ organization
Negotiate annual and long-term supply agreements with suppliers
Perform long-term capacity studies to verify sufficient capacity is being planned for Lear needs
Develop and communicate presentations to Lear’s customers related to continuity of supply
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 4 years of supply chain experience
Additional Skills and Experience (beneficial but not required)
MBA or Master’s in Supply Chain Management
CSCP or other APICS Certification
Experience with automotive industry, electronics a plus
Broad supply chain experience, including both customer and supplier facing roles
