JOB SUMMARY
The Surveyor performs inspection work according operating procedures of cargo on vessels, rail/road cars or shore tanks, on terminals and or offshore. Inspection work may include but is not limited to: LNG, Crude Oil, Gas, Chemicals, Minerals, Bulk loadings of dry cargoes related to measurement of petrochemical fluids (may include dry cargo for certain locations), taking samples for laboratory analysis and or witnessing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To carry out quantity survey and establish accurate quantities of loading or discharge of vessels, rail/road cars or
shore tanks and this will be carried out as per client’s requirements and/or AmSpec standards;
To obtain representative samples and carry out quality survey of loading & discharge of vessels, rail/road cars or
shore tanks;
• To provide complete and accurate reports, as directed by the Survey Supervisor on above activities;
• To carry out all operations in strict accordance with applicable procedures for operations and safety.
• To assist in identifying and correcting any non-conformances with regards to quality, operational or safety
matters;
• To ensure that all activities are performed in compliance with company Quality manuals, following up
audits and by completing actions on time;
• Work closely with the Laboratory team to ensure an effective Quality and Quantity service is provided to the
customer;
Establishing and maintaining internal and external / domestic and international client relationships if applicable;
Communicate all significant issues relating to operations, environmental management and safety.
REQUIREMENTS
Desirable skills/experience/education
Level in Chemistry/Physics in Petrochemistry by education and or experience
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a comparable organization and role, minimum 1 years’ experience within the TIC industry.
Essentials
SCC (Safety Health Environment – Safety Checklist Contractors);
IFIA certified;
Ability to work well with others & independently, without supervision;
Able to work with SCBA (self contained breathing apparatus);
Advanced communication and interpersonal skills are essential;
Candidates must demonstrate advanced verbal and written communication skills in their native language and
English;
Proficiency in other languages besides English (Dutch, Spanish, Russian, Italian etc.) is valuable.
Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
Proficient in using several types of computer and planning software (Word, Excel. PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ensures full compliance with the company’s Health & Safety, Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct policies.

Working in Shift-systems, meaning that extended and/or irregular hours will be required;
