This position, which reports to the European Advanced Purchasing Manager for wire harnesses within Purchasing team in Valls, is responsible for the following:
Bill of Material Costing for RFQ’s and Running business
Represent Purchasing Organization in the project team
Cascade down Project Meeting Activities,( volumes milestones, targets, financials capacity checks) to Commodity Buyers and Supply Base
Coordinate sourcing Activities with commodity and program team, to ensure fulfillment of quality, price, timing
Track and monitor project material cost, to reach financial targets, updating Roadmaps, and follow up on actions plans
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize designs identifying and presenting material cost reduction (SCTOs) to improve cost structure
Delivering all Purchasing program metrics as per programs milestones
Providing program data to Commodity Purchasing to ensure leveraged negotiations and commodity strategy deployment in new and running projects to support savings targets
Deploy commodity sourcing strategy by project
Supporting plants with logistics or quality concerns
Job Requirements :
Degree in Engineering, Economics, or Supply Chain.
Proficiency in English, and German is a plus
1 year experience in automotive sector, or project management
Problem solving and analytical, being proactive and with continuous improvement mindset
Strong communication skills, both in written and oral
High level of independent judgment, initiative, creativity, and the overseeing multiple projects
Computer Literacy, Excel Advance user
Capable of working under pressure, with organization skills and the ability to prioritize
