LOCATION
This position is located at our property Amanjena Marrakech in Morocco.
THE POSITION
The Duty manager is representing the General Manager and Management Team and is expected to make decision towards any incidents and take responsability on any issues with regards to any departments during duty shift.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To oversee and be visually present for all operational departments
To greet the guests of the hotel and performs special special services for guests
To assist in arrivals and departures
To check cleanliness of lobby and public areas, lights and as well as front office staff in proper and orderly appearance and behavior
To prepare and check for arrival, and escort guests to rooms
To coordinate with all departments concerned in order to maitain front office functions properly
To handle guest complaints and other related problems
To assist reception, business center, cashier, concierge and bellman
To answer guests inquires, to handle complaints and attend to the needs of guests
To ensure our guest services has met our service standards and guest expectations
To investigate any unusual guest commenst and ensure necessary follow-up to maintain total guest satisfaction
To approve and sign for allowances, rebates, …
To authorise charges to be made for late departures and/or compliments on them
To promote and maintain good public relations
To be responsible for front office operation during the absence of FOM
To assist in the event of an accident whether it be a guest or an employee
In case of emergency (fire, excessive damage, …) the GM must be notified immediately ; efforts should be made until the GM is reached and informed of the situation
To inspect all areas of the hotel and its grounds to ensure proper appearance and to indentify unusual conditions that could be dangerous to guests and employees
To assist all other areas of the hotel when required
To maintain the checklist and to fully note all areas that have been inspected during the shift by completing the manager on duty form and then submitted it by e-mail to GM, Resort manager and management Team
To follow up pending actions with Department Heads
To perform other duties as requested by General Manager or Resort Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven working experience as Front Office Manager
Strong organizational and people management skills
Excellent communication skills
Proficiency in English and French, multilingualism will be considered an asset
Operational knowledge of Opera and Micros property management and point of sale systems
Ability to work flexible hours
Hotel Management degree.
