The incoming senior member will be part of the ITAM and Compliance team working closely alongside our Director.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and ambassador in the field for CGI globally
• Collaborate with the Software Asset Management teams and ITAM stakeholders such as the Enterprise Security, the Finance Asset Management and international stakeholders
• Improve and deliver a new HAM framework and services
• Handle Enterprise HAM services
• Review current HAM organizations and processes
• Define roadmaps for future mode of operations, to overcome challenges based on standard methodologies
• Prepare and present cases to collaborators to achieve goals outlined in the roadmap;
• In alignment with CGI’s Management Foundation, produce an Enterprise HAM Policy including effective governance; with defined policies and standards that will be the reference for CGI’s business units.
• Lead the implementation of the new HAM framework globally;
• Serve as the liaison between the CIO and the Stakeholders creating, building and maintaining open partnerships
• Advise key collaborators on methods, processes, standard methodologies, technologies and tools;
• Develop proactive processes that enable efficient Hardware Asset Management, and ensure Assets are accurately represented in CGI’s ITAM toolsets, including ownership, financial data and asset status
• Design reports and checklists with the goal to ensure data accuracy;
• Present status reports to management on a regular basis
• Leverage existing ITAM tools to enable Hardware Asset Management, and find opportunities for continuous Service Improvement
• Assist internal audits team in the definition of controls based on the new framework
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in Hardware Asset Management;
• Demonstrated proficiency in IT Operations, hardware asset management, and customer/vendor relationships;
• Experience in leading projects across geographies and cultures (ex: offshore teams).
Qualifications / Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field;
• Experience working in large, international, complex IT organizations, building Hardware Asset Management Policies
• Experience implementing HAM policies and best practices in global settings, establishing KPI’s and other measures of success
• Proficient in verbal, written and communication skills in English and French;
• Must be solution oriented and able to work autonomously
• Holder of an ITAM certification is an asset
• Experience with MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Experience with Flexera FlexNet Manager Suite, SCCM/MECM, ITSM CMDBs is an asset
Skills and Competencies
• Have extensive experience in the Hardware Asset Management and IT Asset Management domain, running an effective and efficient HAM Organization;
• Superior awareness of new HAM principals and best practices for all the stages of the asset lifecycle;
• Understanding of inventory management processes, techniques, reporting and discovery tools, and asset management databases technologies, used for hardware asset management;
• Knowledge of financial concepts and practices as they relate to HAM;
• Knowledge of project management and task-tracking, process mapping, reporting tools and techniques;
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to communicate effectively (technical and non-technical);
• Ability to present complex data from multiple sources into a convincing business case, taking into consideration the needs and priorities of stakeholders;
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment;
• Capacity to be cognizant of divergent viewpoints in a diverse, multi-cultural environment;
• Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, at all levels of an organizations.
• Problem solving: sound sense of judgment, ability to assess, reason, improvise and advocate solutions to problems;
• Results oriented: completes assigned activities within agreed timeframes, able to recognize priorities and deliver results;
• Proactive, interactive, tenacious and persistent that can lead both technical specialists and local management.
