Within the Networks vertical division, DESIGN department aims to sustain Enterprise and International Wholesale Business growth in developing and supporting customer end-to-end infrastructure and services.
Your mission and activities
Within DESIGN department, the Engineering model team is mainly in charge of studying and delivering solutions for French and International B2B customers, including tailor made offers. Team is based in France.
Another team, called Engineering test, is mainly in charge of delivering common software foundations with tests in engineering lab of key functions and services on our PE routers before software is deployed in production. Tests need to be automated to speed-up our regular test cycles completion and being flexible in front of our supplier technical issues. Team is mostly based in Bratislava, Slovakia.
A transverse team, composed of engineers from both teams, has been created to model several services (L3VPN, L2VPN, IPSEC based services, switch aggregation….) & develop modules (e.g. NSO packages) to be able to automate service production and configuration (creation, deletion & modification of such service). This team needs to be extended through this job position opened in Slovakia, Bratislava or in Morocco (Sala El Jadida).
Main activities will be
to modelize specific L3 & L2 Orange Business Services
to develop modules needed for specific projects linked to the automation of VPN network services or functions (e.g. using Cisco NSO network controller).
to develop & maintain required automation framework in lab (e.g. tests to integrate in dedicated Web Portal & Scheduler and/or in a CI/CD chain upon needs using Ansible, GITLAB CI , Robot Framework…)
to validate network functions or services in a lab: you need to understand them as pre-requisite to their proper automation and modeling.
to automate network tests (in Python) which are executed in a lab representative of our International MPLS VPN networks.
to transfer knowledge to the operational engineers who will use the tests automated or the service modules developed.

votre profil

Coding / programming skills: Python language is our prime reference, past experience with developing in that language (even during university) is required. Experience in other language (e.g. Shell) is also appreciated
Automation framework knowledge (tools, languages) including CI/CD automation chain & GIT at least. Also potentially Ansible, Jenkins, GITLAB CI or Robot Framework are tools used in our environment. Some practical experience on some would be a real +.
Software development applied to the network: YANG, Netconf are standards used.
System: Linux (advanced enough to administrate Linux systems)
Knowledge of Cisco NSO is a real + but is not mandatory
Cloud IT culture e.g. VMware or QEMU/KVM
Knowledge of Docker is real +
A first practical experience in Agile mode project would be a real +
Strong technical interest for IP networking subjects (understand the service or function is mandatory to automate or model it the right way !)
Network protocols basic knowledge: TCP/IP, addressing, routing (ISIS, MP-BGP…), MPLS VPN concept.
CISCO/Juniper CLI knowledge is a + (e.g. CISCO CCNA level, Juniper JNCIA level)
Interest for new protocols and emerging technologies is required, in a technical environment evolving very fast.
Personal skills
Ability to work in team and cross-functional projects, in a complex organization with different activities and multi-cultural environment (Europe, North America, Egypt, India…).
Team spirit (you will work with Slovak engineers in Bratislava & other engineers based in France and will share lab resources)

Must be curious, 'investigation' minded
Autonomy & Flexibility as evolving in a changing environment
Good synthesis skills (Both written and oral)
Result driven, customer-centric approach.
Education and training
Master’s degree or higher in Computer science, Engineering or Telecommunication
Telecommunications education in a technical field (data processing, computers, telecom, networks)
Experience wishes:
1 to 8 years in telecommunications market (can be + of course).
First practical experience in programming or even test automation is expected.
Previous experience in international environment is a +

le plus de l'offre
English: good level is required (be able to write and speak in technical environment with other engineers across the world )
Slovak for daily exchange is a real +
