Position overview:
Reporting to the Production Manager, our future production supervisor will be primarily responsible for managing a diverse and talented manufacturing team. His/Her primary goal is to properly organize staff members and achieve a reasonable workflow throughout the day. This position will also include directing, disciplining, training, and assisting lower-level manufacturing employees in a factory setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Helps manufacturing staff achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results
Compiles and analyzes production records
Ensures that production plans are completed by a certain time
Creates and maintains professional schedules
Recruits, hires, and trains employees
Implements cost-saving strategies and techniques
Contact appropriate sources for repair issues
Counsels employees on how to achieve an optimal output or workflow
Resolves issues and disputes between manufacturing employees
Communicates with and assists other manufacturing departments as needed
Evaluate the condition of production equipment
Maintains a clean and safe environment for all workers
Compiles and analyzes production records
Key skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
Previous experience in production supervision or management in TRIM (5 years min)
Knowledge of production processes, machinery, and equipment
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs (QAD/SAP…)
Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus
Good English & French languages, spoken and written
