Key Responsibilities and Duties
Work as part of the development team on multiple eCommerce and multi-channel applications and integrations with third party providers.
Creating and maintaining new functionality on the SFCC platform (both pipeline / controllers based) that operates a reference application model. Delivering scalable, reusable code that benefits all brands
Follow SFCC coding standards and best practice within the development cycle and code review processes
Optimise page load performance by optimising HTML, CSS, JavaScript images and content delivery ideally in an enterprise eCommerce platform environment
Maintain a close working relationship with eCommerce development team, and external/internal product owners located onshore and nearshore
Work closely with world famous luxury brands ecommerce teams and marketing agencies
Complete development work required on each Brand’s websites in line with the trading calendar and development roadmap / release plan
Partner with the Group IT team, Product Team and inhouse developers to implement technology requirements
Maintain a strong understanding of SFCC platform features and industry trends
Poses high level of debugging skills to identify and fix break fixes for production issues
Ad hoc technical support, testing on releases and A/B tests
Experience of working with an Agile Scrum environment beneficial
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Must Haves
Minimum 4 years of development experience of which minimum 2 years dedicated in SFCC
SFCC development experience should cover both pipeline and controller (SFRA) based implementation
Should be a certified B2C Commerce Developer (can be either Pipeline or SFRA based)
Should have onboarded (migrated sites in to SFCC) minimum 2 different projects
Previous experience should include building and maintaining API integrations, Webservices, SOAP, REST
Must have experience designing and developing core payment service integrations like Adyen, CyberSource etc
Experienced in development of SFCC B2C multi-site and multi-country, end-to-end implementations including third party (backend) integrations with Address/ Shipping/ Tax validation
Working knowledge of HTML (5), CSS (3), JavaScript, jQuery, JAVA, XML, SQL Server, SSIS and Web Services
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Maven
Good understanding of SEO, Data layer and web analytics
Experience of working the Atlassian development toolset – Jira, Confluence, Bit-Bucket, Crucible, FishEye
Should Haves
Strong programming skills in building and maintaining eCommerce platforms and integration
Data driven with strong analytics skills, including Core Metrics and other analytics tools
Ability to work at Group level and manage a diverse group of stakeholders across multiple Brands
Highly organised with the capability to multi-task and prioritise to meet tight deadlines
Resourceful and proactive in solving problems and recommending solutions
Enthusiastic, self-confident, and self-motivated
Willing to adapt and take on new challenges and driven to continually improve
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required
