Job Purpose
The senior piping designer has confirmed knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry-standard practices for the control, development, and application of deliverables. Prepares independently the draft of complex design layouts and drawings in line with standards and clients' specifications. Independently models critical lines in the 3D model and participates in internal model reviews. Participates in the mentoring of the associate piping designers.
Main Scope/Responsibilities
Business Development Support:
Assists business development activities by maintaining an up to date personal profile and resume database.
Business Operations:
Ensures the project work is covered for vacation and unplanned absences & be responsible for a smooth handover.
Ensures own and discipline technical work and team activities meet all health, safety, environmental, and security requirements.
Technical Competency:
Able to use 2D & 3D tools to design complexes areas (containing critical equipment) with minimum supervision
Able to make field surveys and prepare reports
Masters and implements generally accepted engineering and piping design codes and standards, regulatory requirements and client specifications.
Understands layout design requirements and is able to prepare plot plans for small projects
Supports the processes for checking, peer reviews, and incorporation of comments and findings.
Supports the process for interdisciplinary squad check
Masters & apply work instructions, checklists, standard specifications & design basis during the execution of projects.

Project Execution:
Knows the discipline scope/cost/time requirements, assists the team to meet expectations.
Estimates the time and effort required for different design tasks.
Guides and supervises other designers in making design deliverables
Able to solve complex issues related to design activities
Can provide field support during construction or commissioning phase
Project Deliverables:
Prepares plot plans for small projects
Prepares equipment layout independently for complex areas.
Prepares pipe routing studies for critical lines.
Models critical lines with the capacity to solve clashes generated
Prepares site survey reports
