Job Purpose
The piping designer has a basic knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry-standard practices for the control, development, and application of deliverables. He/she prepares the draft of non-complex design layouts, 2D drawings, and 3D models in line with standards and clients' specifications without assistance. Participates in the draft of critical lines in the 3D model under close supervision.
Main Scope/Responsibilities
Business Development Support:
Assists business development activities by maintaining an up to date personal profile and resume database.
Business Operations:
Ensures the project work is covered for vacation and unplanned absences & be responsible for a smooth handover.
Follows instructions to ensure discipline technical work and team activities meet all health, safety, environmental, and security requirements.
Technical Competency:
Able to use 2D & 3D tools to design non-complex area without assistance
Able to participate in the design of complex areas (containing critical equipment) with close supervision
Able to make field surveys and prepare reports
Understands and implements generally accepted engineering and piping design codes and standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications.
Understands layout design requirements
Supports the processes for checking, peer reviews, and incorporation of comments and findings.
Able to detect discrepancies in connected drawings and documents
Understands & applies, work instructions, checklists, standard specifications & design basis during the execution of projects.

Project Execution:
Working under the close supervision of senior designer, knows the discipline scope/cost/time requirements, assists the team to meet expectations.
Project Deliverables:
Prepares equipment layout, equipment arrangement, piping general arrangement, for non-complex areas.
Prepares pipe routing studies for noncritical lines and critical lines under supervision.
Prepares, piping Isometrics.
Model non-critical lines and critical lines under supervision with the capacity to solve clashes generated
Prepares site survey reports
