Position Summary:
Lear is one of the most recognized and successful names in the Automotive Industry. The Tool Technician is a key position in the Company and will support and contribute to the company goals of profitability, return on investment, inventory turnover, and accident prevention. The Tool Technician, under direct supervision, performs routine installations, repairs, construction and replacement of equipment. Uses a variety of hand power tools. Makes routine checks on equipment; documents status and completes necessary reports.

Essential Functions of the Job:
Perform basic repairs as instructed; preventive maintenance
Performs daily check of production lines which includes; hoses, valves, pumps, chillers, DOP chambers, air hoses, glue guns
Follows oral and written directions as necessary
Reliable
Able to work any shift and overtime as directed
Follows good safety practices
Willing to receive training in job related fields as required
Keeps/leaves work area clean
Maintain crib
All other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):
Good mechanical aptitude
Knowledge or experience in maintenance
Hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge or experience
Excellent problem-solving ability
Lock out/Tag out knowledge and experience
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma
3 - 5 years’ experience in manufacturing
