Role Purpose

// Responsible for the smooth process and compliance with work and operating instructions in day-to-day operations for all logistics, transport and storage activities at the CAS plant location, as well as the organization and monitoring of the transport and storage activities that are carried out under the responsibility of the PS CH Site Bayer SA and are carried out by third-party companies (transport and storage service providers).

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

// Monitoring of compliance with SOPs in day-to-day events, compliance with the specifications from change management, quality management, and improvement systems.
// Compliance with HSE requirements in the CAS plant warehouse, safety briefing for new employees in logistics
// Control, guidance, and development of employees
// Communication with other functions to ensure smooth cross-functional processes, especially quality control, purchasing, production, engineering and not limited to.
// Monitoring of order confirmations (on time, in full), initiating the internal communication and escalation process in the event of deviations.
// Approval of orders for non-finished product-specific material such as bottles and droppers, as well as finished-product-specific material such as folding boxes, bottle labels and instructions for use.
// Inventory management and carrying out inventories.
// Organization and handling of transport and customs formalities for Import & Export
// Ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of imports and exports transactions
// Monitoring of the shipments to ensure the compliance of regulations
// Contact with suppliers to organize calls and for orders, first point of contact for packaging suppliers and raw material in the event of problems.
// Participation in projects to improve flexibility, costs, quality, and security in the entire supply chain.
// Maintain records for accounting purposes in accordance with company procedures, including the checking of all invoices and shipping manifests for conformity to tariff and Customs regulations.
// Support of the Production Planner Internal/External Manufacturing, e.g. with the provision of initial goods, the organization of transports and the systemic feedback of process orders in the field of contract manufacturing.
// Support with organizational tasks for the SCM department at the location.
// Ensures the good management of relations between the various partners (suppliers and internal stakeholders) of the commercial transaction.
Experiences, skills and Qualifications
// Completed training in the field of logistics, studies are an advantage
// License or Master’s in supply chain or Logistics or Import/Export.
// Experience in operational purchasing and processing orders
// Several years of experience in dealing in material management, warehousing, and dealing with merchandise management systems
// Several years of experience in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry, as well as working in the GMP environment
// Experience in operational transport management, Import, Export, Clearance under Customs (Notions of customs regulations and interactions with the various administration: ONSSA, MOH, ...)
// Good knowledge of MM/WM (SAP), MS Office
// Strong communication skills, assertiveness, team spirit • Be autonomous, strategic, logical, curious, and diplomatic.
// Fluency in English/French languages, has a strong legal knowledge concerning commercial law, taxation, and the regulations of import/export)
// Leadership experience
// Cross-functional process understanding
