Position overview:
Reporting to the Maintenance and Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will manage the SMT maintenance team, and ensure production support and maximum equipment availability. Optimize maintenance costs, intervention duration, and improve equipment productivity by enhancing the continuous improvement culture.
Also, he /she will be responsible for leading or participating in Working groups to solve technical issues and support new projects launching and installations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manages, plans, coordinates, organizes, and controls all preventive and corrective maintenance activities at the Plant level, with the objective that all machinery and related equipment are available and operative for production at the lowest possible cost.
Proposes and carries out modifications in the machinery and equipment to improve operativity, reduce maintenance costs, and improve safety.
Outsources activities to external services when advisable.
Leads the new construction projects that imply major works and coordinates maintenance technicians and suppliers.
Keeps updated the official document file related to works and installations projects.
Ensure the conformance of products and processes according to IATF, Customer specific requirements, and regulatory requirements
Makes sure that all employees perform their duties in compliance with the rules and regulations and encourages them to be involved in the energy, environment, safety, and health program.
Provides employees with written job instructions for performing their work safely (e.g. Job environment, safety and health analysis and data sheet, Standard operating procedures, etc.).
Performs frequent walk-throughs of areas, responds to environment, safety, and health concerns and ensures that hazards are corrected as soon as possible, and proposes energy suggestions.
Key skills and Qualifications:
Industrial Engineer
Higher Degree in Labor Risk Prevention
5 years of experience in the same position in the automotive industry
Preventive maintenance experience, strong knowledge in maintenance & manufacturing electronics areas
Team management & reporting analysis
Capability of solving problems
SMED, People Management
High level of English & French languages, spoken and written
