The “Quality Engineer” position reports to the Quality Coordinator of Aptiv Connection Systems, a subsidiary of Aptiv Corporation, an American multinational operating in the automotive industry sector.
Your Role
• Handling customer complaints in collaboration with other departments.
• Supervise the application of EOS systems and procedures.
• Analyze customer requirements for product quality.
• Carry out the evaluation of the manufacturing process in collaboration with the Engineering department; Oversee and approve process control operating procedures and plans.
• Participate in feasibility studies in collaboration with the Engineering and Production Departments.
• Develop audit and control plans and ensure their application.
• Define medium and long-term objectives and actions in collaboration with the immediate superior.
• Write quality audit reports and ensure the proper application of recommended actions.
• Raise awareness among employees to adopt the total quality spirit.
• Ensure the security of documentation and the proper circulation of information within the department.
• Analyze FTQ results and ensure follow-up of action plans.
• Determine quality control criteria and communicate them to production staff.
• Participate in carrying out awareness, communication and training actions with the immediate superior.
• Decide on exemptions to be granted to production.
• Determine the production criteria to be respected when manufacturing outside the normal process.
• Develop new projects (risk studies, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with project milestones
• Ensure monitoring and compliance with the APQP
• Ensure the completion of PPAPs in new projects
• Check the feasibility of engineering changes.
• Participate in PFMEA update meetings and update the control plan
• Ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with environmental standards.
Your Background
Master's or engineering degree or equivalent in a scientific or technical specialty, or proven experience in the field of quality in the automotive or plastics industry.Good level in languages: English, French;
Good communication and listening skills;
Good relationship with company staff;
Good ability to access information;
Know how to coordinate activities with colleagues;
Conflict management;
Good negotiation and argumentation skills;
Mastery of IT tools.
Minimum 5 years of experience.
