Position Overview
In line with Lear’s LRP within Connection Systems, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Manager to support the development and launch of a new Greenfield facility located in TAC. He/She will be reporting to the Plant Manager.
The plant will go into SOP July 2023, with a first phase location covering 4500 square meters and 10 000 in full scale. Our new plant’s main customers will be internal and external wire harness plants.
Our future Quality Manager’s, as part of the management team, participates in decision making and planning activities to ensure the profitability of the plant.
The following areas of activity report directly to him:
Management Systems - including Quality and Environment (maintaining and continuously improving the management system in place in the plant, including its evaluation/statistics)
Acts as the management representative for management systems in accordance with IATF 1649.
Responsible and has authority in the areas of setting quality management objectives and corresponding training, determining corrective and preventive actions.
Working with customer portals and working with customer reviews.
As Quality Manager, your responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to)
Responsible for the management of the Quality Department, Quality laboratory and direct reports
Participates in meetings with customers and auditors. Quality lead and support in internal and external non-conformance resolution
Systematic work on validation of guidelines and methodological instructions management review and validation validation
Responsibility for the IATF 16949 system audit plan and EMS support
Responsibility for resolving non-conformities/improvement suggestions resulting from IATF 16949 audits, EMS and HSE support
Production process support, support to quality controllers, Coordination and management of internal audits (IATF 16949, VDA, etc.), coordination of preparation for customer audits
Training of employees on the requirements of IATF 16949, EMS and HSE standards, Quality First philosophy, quality tools and CI (Lean). Supporting the CI coordinator in Six Sigma and Lean Management
To be a success in this role you must have:
Strong drive, determination, and management skills to lead from the front and get the best out of your team.
Previous Quality Manager or Management experience
Previous experience in launching or growing new business
Excellent people skills: leadership ability to build and direct the department
Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
Project management skills
Fluency in English Language is mandatory
University degree in an engineering or technical discipline
