Job Title: Market Development Manager Algeria


Role Purpose

// The ideal candidate has to deliver relevant value proposals and solutions to the market inside the NA region.
// Work closely with KAM/CUSTOMER ADVISORY REP and Campaign Activation Manager team in your region, to develop together Campaign Plan (crops and customers), to maximize economic value proposition, for growers, channel and other stakeholders.
// The ideal candidate will perform the right technical positioning of each of the products giving to marketing clear technical USP of each of them, to set proof of concept for the tailored solutions and to ensure proper transfer knowledge of both for the marketing and sales organization to ensure competitive advantage.
Align MD platform logistics with campaign activation managers, sales and external stakeholders (distributor, farmers, universities…) to match with the campaign calendar for each crop.
// The MD is fully in charge of the key farmers portfolio in his/her region.
// All of these has to be done in alignment with Head MD NA, in compliance with corporate policies and procedures to foster synergies at country level around tailored solutions. Accountable to deliver the business.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

// Technical positioning of each product:
// Very close relation with Field Solutions to secure proper transfer of knowledge of the future products to launch to the MD team.
// Execution of technical platforms with distributors
// Involvement of distributors in all technical activities (Only for Meknes Region).
// Manage some administrative & commercial emergencies (Only for Meknes Region).
// Execution of the trials generating a data set to determine the product positioning in each of the local conditions.
// Follow the protocols according to country/country-group guideline including the local market needs
// Data management, quality review and timely submission of trial results.
// Deliver the technical value for the final customer: work with customer marketing to categorize and validate key product features and benefits for support material (USP)
// Provide right Solution:
// Perform the proof of concept of new tailored solution.
// Fully collaborate with Climate, if applicable, to make them main actor in the digital part of each solution.
// Transfer Knowledge:
// Monitor, coordinate and execute all new product launches demo platforms.
// Share responsibilities in the implementation of trials of commercial product with sales.
// Align with marketing and sales in the implementation of all the demo platforms of our key tailored solutions to match with the campaign calendar.
// Flanking: Farmer face-to-face visit together with the Advisory Customer Reps/KAM to make sure that the product and solution is well understood and properly transferred.
// Support weed and crop protection teams and other regional stewardship initiatives (if applicable) for seed, trait and crop protection products
// Compliant with Bayer safety rules and driving policies.
Experiences, skills and Qualifications
// BSc degree or equivalent in Agriculture or related discipline with 3 or more experience.
// Fair understanding of seed and crop protection business in relevant general agronomic knowledge of agriculture production
// Business and technical acumen to anticipate actions to support business strategies and enhance business results
// Effective interaction with cross functional teams and build respectful and collaborative internal relationships for business success • Ability to technical problem solving,
// Embrace opportunity to initiate and support change
// Self-motivated with good social, communication and organizational skills
// Seeks leadership opportunities to build presence and impact with those outside team and company
// Good level of English.
